#1 "LILANDRA"
This knife utilizes the extremely strong and durable multa-lock mechanism with only one button, a first. The knife closed is 4 1/4 inches long, and an overall open length of 7 1/2 inches. The blade is 1/8 inches thick and is 3 1/4 inches long.
An all supershock #7 hi-shock resistant tool steel piece, "Lilandra", with its asymmetrically shaped halves lends itself to cosmic landscape as this knife combines futuristic lines with female loveliness. The inlaid 416 button is engraved as well as is the blade making the knife an entire fully intertwined ever changing panorama.
Universally renowned engraver Scott Pilkington, using unusually shaped terrain as his canvas, has spread gold inlays, sculpture work and fantastic scrollwork to combine with Ron Appleton’s fantastic lock-work to create a masterpiece of engineering and artwork. There are no external fasteners.
#2 "SEEING SCARLETT"
"Seeing Scarlett" is a one piece 6061T-6 hardened aluminum handled folder. It was anodized using the newest dye technology. It is an infilock mechanism operated by a large decorated "multi angled EDM process" grade 6Al-4V titanium button.
The blade is 154CM stainless hardened to 59 RC, the tip differentially tempered to 56 RC for toughness and durability. Fully hemispherical curves give this blade beautiful sweeping symmetry with diagonal accents.
Finished inside and out this folder exhibits an extremely clean refined fresh look and is a one of a kind Appleton piece. Working with aluminum gives me access to new colors and surface textures. This knife fits my hand perfectly and the mechanism is very smooth. A new feature for this infilock is a softer blade stop both open and closed.
The blade is 3 1/3 inches long and 3/16 inches thick, handle 4 1/2 inches long, 1/2 inches thick and overall open length is 7 3/4 inches. There are no external fasteners.
#3 "LEGACY"
"Legacy" is made, handle halves and blade with S-7 high-shock resistant tooling steel. This knife is a push dagger style with 2 position multa-lock mechanism. Handle and blade are hardened to 60 Rockwell and tempered to 56 RC. The Hardened 416 stainless steel buttons rotate the knife blade from closed to open and have decorative beryllium copper escutcheons encircling them. It is mirror finished all over. The way it gathers and reflects light is beyond gorgeous. The blade has sweeping accents which perfectly complement the handle.
This knife resembles the knife formerly known as “Cosmos”. That knife was taken apart in Taiwan so as to discover a way to mass produce it as many of you may already know. Cosmos' mechanism was not the multa-lock type. It was a simple slip joint lock engineered for mass production. Those parts became scattered and lost and the knife no longer exists.
This knife is 8 3/8 long overall. The blade is 3 9/16 long and 1/8 inches thick. There are no external visible fasteners.
