Art Knife Invitational 2007 - Pierre Reverdy
#1 “SHINY ICE”

The wide variety of ice formations was the inspiration for this knife with its highly carved, poetic damascus blade. The sandwich edge top of the blade appears like the image of water with a pattern of ice crystals on top. The cast silver guard and pommel form the transition to the carved, oosic handle.

#2 ”LION'S DREAM”

A precious hunting knife with a 6 inch blade. A lion is featured in the poetic damascus blade. The pommel is also made from poetic Damascus with a silver casting. The handle is African wild boar ivory.

#3 “DRAGONS”

This collectable hunting knife has a 6 inch blade of poetic damascus featuring dragons in the design. It is the same damascus pattern featured in the Blade magazine article, October 2007. The guard and pommel are cast silver and the handle is mammoth ivory.

#4 ”CACHALOT”

Lockback folder with a 3.5 inch blade. The blade steel is carved into waves with a pattern of sperm whales swimming and jumping. Inlayed in the mammoth ivory handle scales are pure silver waves enameled by Nicole Reverdy.

#5 ”HUNDRED STARS”

Lockback folder with a 3.5 inch blade. Fully carved, poetic damascus with a pattern consisting of hundreds of stars. The bolsters are cast silver and the handle scales are mammoth ivory.

All work is by Pierre Reverdy except enameling which is done by Nicole Reverdy-Piel
