#1 TIMELESS MUSK OX FOLDER

This lock back folder has a tight ladder pattern blade with a clip point and a right hand thumb bob. The border cut and grooved bolsters are ladder pattern Damascus as well and are spaced with a thin silver shim next to the Musk Ox horn scales. The fan style file worked lock bar is of twist pattern and the spring is straight grain Damascus. The liners are argentium silver which I file worked in a notch and vine style. The blade is bushed with a bronze bushing and the folder is secured by domed headed argentium silver pins. The belt pouch is form fitted, and sports a frog skin overlay and a spring style belt clip. 100% sole authorship.

#2 7 OF 7 DOGBONE BOOK DAGGER

The seventh in a series of seven numbered Dogbone daggers that I made to commemorate the book, The Western Bladesmith by Dr David Darom. This is the last Dagger in this series available. Every knife is marked with a serial number 1 of 7 thru 7 of 7, and has the book’s title, The Western Bladesmith, etched along one side of the handle’s frame. All seven daggers were made as similar as possible to the first one, as closely as handmade objects can be duplicated and as Mother Nature will allow in the color of the ivory. The blade is made of 305 layers of 1080, 15N20 and Ni 200 hand cut and forged into a dramatic Ladder pattern Damascus bar. The blade is double edged with small choils and a finely tapered tip. The Damascus used for the fittings is the same as the blade with the omission of the Ni 200. The sculpted double guard is 150 layers pressed Ladder pattern Damascus. The five-piece spacer is a combo of 150 layer Twist Damascus parts that are grooved and border cut and set off in between for contrast, with thin nickel silver spacers. The handle frame is also a 150 layer Twist Damascus. It is flanked by 0.040 (1 mm) nickel silver liners that are hand file-worked in a vine and notch pattern combination. The faceted scales are ancient walrus tusk fastened in place by peened pins and domed nickel silver buttons. The escutcheon plates are made of my “Double U” pattern Damascus. The completed handle is held firmly in place via a threaded thru tang and finial, making the knife a takedown design that allows for later disassembly if ever required for cleaning. The sheath is a formed leather body with a fine leather overlay that is complimented by a nickel silver tip and throat formed from 0.032” (0.8 mm) thick sheet stock. Overall length 13 7/8” (352 mm), blade length 9” (229 mm). There are 51 pieces in a Dogbone dagger counting all the parts, not including the sheath parts. Every pin and button is counted as a separate item, same as the blade. Each one of these parts plays an integral role in the strength and esthetics of this complex knife design. 100% sole authorship.

#3 FANTAIL DAMASCUS BOWIE

This is a new style that I am excited about. All the Damascus is of the same pattern which is a geometric explosion pattern I call my Fourth of July pattern. The broad blade is a straight back style; diamond shaped through the guard and multi facetted and sports a crescent notch on the blade to guard fit. The fittings are all made from the same pattern but each is at a different stage of the patterning process. The handle is mammoth ivory that is flanked on one end by a five piece spacer and the other end by a carved Damascus pommel. The ivory is also divided in the center with a handle frame and file worked silver liners. This is a takedown style construction via a threaded finial. The sheath is a loop style with silver and Damascus embellishment. 100% sole authorship.
