#1 EXHIBITION BOWIE
The blade is ¼” X 9" CPM 154, hand-rubbed satin finish. Guard and pommel are cast sterling silver, and amber sambar stag for the handle. This knife is made in the style of the Sheffield Exhibition Bowies. These Bowies were constructed to be the finest, most exquisite knives by the best craftsmen of the world, which were then placed in various exhibitions throughout Europe and America. I incorporated some of the elements from these fantastic knives such as the file-work, three fullers and castings. The design for the castings on my exhibition Bowie are in the style of the originals.
#2 IXL BOWIE
The blade is 9" CPM 154 with a handle of Mother-of-Pearl and 416 stainless steel fittings. This knife was inspired by the Scheffield, George Wostenholm Bowie that was marked with an "IXL" on it to mean "I excel." This was done because many people were illiterate.
#3 IXL BOWIE
This knife has a 6" blade CPM 154. The handle is mastodon ivory with 118 studs and a German silver sheath. This is my design which was influenced by some of the California gold-rush period knives.
#4 SUB-HILT FIGHTER
This knife has an 8" blade CPM 154 with an ivory handle and 416 stainless steel fittings.
This is my first Bob Loveless-inspired fighter.
